SCL Seminar 2016 #SCLHorizons

Changing Horizons: challenges, trends and new ways of delivering

The Society of Chief Librarians annual seminar is already fully booked and will draw together more than 130 library leaders, partners and Government figures to discuss the changing horizons and best practice in libraries.

The 2016 Seminar will explore the challenges and trends in managing and delivering public library services during a continuing period of austerity. With the work of the Leadership for Libraries Taskforce well under way, SCL will be focusing upon the elements of work which they have begun, and agree the areas where they can work together to develop a sustainable offer for library users now and into the future.

The successful work which SCL has developed around the five Universal Offers and two Promises defines the core elements of the public library service and the Seminar will provide participants with the opportunity to explore new ideas using the experience of colleagues and partners from around the UK.
